iTunes 9.0.2 Breaks Palm Pré Sync
With iTunes 9.0.2, Apple broke the hacked sync tool developed by Palm to allow Palm Pré owners to sync music from iTunes on their handheld. This type of game between Apple and Palm might last forever, depending on how strongly Apple decided to block identification of its devices. In both cases, Palm have been using the USB identified of both devices, an illegal usage according to the USB Alliance. So, will Palm keep releasing hack to maintain sync compatibility between iTunes and its Pré, or will the company consider statement from the USB Alliance, and rather think twice before acting?
