Ukraine to become first European country with Starlink direct to cell service — messaging by year end, with mobile satellite broadband expected mid-2026

A Ukrainian telecoms company is set to launch Starlink direct-to-cell messaging services before the end of the year. This will be a first for Europe, and will enable customers to message each other, even if the cell network goes down.
