These compact (and supposedly quiet) enclosures hold four 2.5" SATA drives and connect via either Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 2/Thunderbolt 1, depending on the model. SoftRAID provides various RAID options (but no FileFault/Fusion support).
