Many of our readers will remember SCO as a small UNIX-dedicated company that tried during years to systematically sue other companies distributing UNIX or Linux solutions, arguing they were using part of SCO's intellectual property without owning a license. Its own Linux distributions were not so popular, and only a partial victory against IBM extended the life of SCO. During the summer, SCO lost its legal action against Novel, and even had to buy licenses from Novel. As a consequence, SCO share value went massively down and SCO is now close to bankruptcy. We will not comment further this news.
