Apple’s Swift is now among the 10 most popular programming languages, according to the Tiobe Index (http://www.tiobe.com/), which measures the popularity of programming languages on a monthly basis. It’s the first time it’s made the list. About three years ago Apple announced that it would replace its "ancient" native mobile app development language Objective-C by its newborn language called Swift.
