Apple earned a profit of $818 million on revenue of $5.41 billion for its fiscal third-quarter ending June 30, the company announced Wednesday. Apple said it sold 1.764 million Macs and 9.815 million iPods; the company offered no hard numbers for sales of the iPhone.
