As with the recent $50 price cut to the cost of the Apple Watch Sport, Apple has now lowered the cost per incident of an Apple Watch Sport repair that is no longer under warranty to $199, a $30 drop. The purchase price, and out-of-warranty repair charge, for the other versions -- the stainless steel Watch and the gold Edition model -- remains unchanged. By comparison, under the extended AppleCare+ warranty available for either the Watch by itself or the iPhone and Watch combination, defects are repaired at no charge, while user-inflicted damage costs just $69 for the Watch Sport under warranty
