A prominent team behind many jailbreaks of iOS devices has done the same to the fourth-generation Apple TV, though not in a way many users of jailbroken iPhones and iPads will expect. Fulfilling a promise from a recent tweet, Pangu Team has shipped the jailbreak for any Apple TV running tvOS 9.0 or 9.0.1, but the release is being aimed towards developers and security researchers instead of hardware enthusiasts, as it can only be connected to via SSH.
