In polling conducted of 50,000 English-speaking developers, OS X has been found to be in active use with more coders than Linux for the second consecutive year. The respondent pool favoring OS X has grown from 18.7 percent of the user base in 2013, with nearly linear growth to 26.2 percent this year.
