It seems that apple learned from the iPod, and had planned some logistic back-up to sustain iPhone sales. According to Engadget, physical Apple Stores have receiving new stocks of iPhones and should not undergo massive shortages. It could massively decrease the price of the iPhone on eBay.
Apple wants to keep surfing on the iPhone wave especially that the device was unanimously acclaimed. It would be a shame to break such a success story with availability problems.
Clearly, Apple improved its capacities and abilities to control product launch and logistic. Let's hope it will also be true when introducing new iMac or MacBook models.
