DJI has unveiled the fourth generation of its Phantom drone line, one that adds new features as well as improves upon the previous model. The Phantom 4 arrives with an "Obstacle Sensing System" that uses a pair of sensors on the front and two on the base of the drone to create a 3D map of the area in front of it, allowing the quadcopter to stop and hover before an impact occurs, and in some modes, actively avoid the obstacle while moving onward to a final position.
