Daystar: Messing Up with Core 2 Duo for Mac Intel!

Long time Mac users will probably know Daystar, a company which released the first dual processor Mac clone 11-years ago, and then offered processor upgrade cards for PPC-based Macs. The company still offers parts and materials for upgrading Macs, and recently we spotted such mistake in their catalog: http://daystar-store.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=748 They offer Core 2 Duo E6x00 processor for upgrading Intel-based iMac and Mac mini! Those processors, aka Conroe, are the desktop version of Intel Core 2 Duo CPU series. Apple is only using the notebook version, known as Merom, and coded Txxxx. So if you want to upgrade the CPU of your Intel-based Mac mini or iMac, pay attention and first read our articles explaining how to perform such upgrade, and what to expect from it.
