Even if numbers are not available yet, it seems that iPhones flied away from the shelves, and Apple Stores representatives had to remind consumers about the "not more than 2 iPhones/person" rule. One can now find numerous photos and videos illustrating iPhone unboxing and disassembling, especially interesting are photos published by http://www.powerbookmedic.com and iFixIt. In the mean time Apple released the iPhone user guide available online as a PDF file.
When looking at photos, one can clearly spot:
- an ARM processor featuring an Apple logo with a serial number 339S0030 (unknown)
- the GSM/Edge Power amplifier from Skyworks (serial number SKY77340)
- an unknown Intel chip (serial Z717I074A / Xscale?)
- an anonymous chip with a size similar to the Apple-
