Apple may be considering entering the 3D printing market, if it uses an idea featured in a recently-published patent application. An application submitted in May last year by Apple for the "Method and Apparatus for Three Dimensional Printing of Colored Objects" describes a way to produce items in a basic 3D printer, but one that adds to the fairly standard process an extra step that introduces colors to what is usually a single-color result.
