MacPhun’s Aurora HDR ($40) app provides Mac users the ability to turn their own digital photos into high-dynamic-range images. The app offers more than 60 editing tools and dozens of one-click presets developed by renowned photographer Trey Ratcliff. Other presets geared toward various photography styles simplify the process even further, allowing for instant transformations of photos whether they were taken inside or outside, of landscapes or buildings. While the app is designed to make editing photos simple, a broad range of editing tools lets users experiment with more precise changes like split-toning, color filtering and graduated neutral density.
