Nintendo has revealed its first attempt at a smartphone gaming app, one that it is working with DeNA to produce, but not a title that uses one of its well-known first-party franchises. Shown in an investor briefing, Miitomo is less of a game and more a communication tool, one that uses the player-created Mii characters to talk to the Miis of friends and other users, potentially allowing acquaintances to discover new things they have in common.
