Apple buys nearly 200 acres of land for Oregon data center expansion

In line with rumors earlier this year, Apple last Friday closed on a $3.6 million purchase of nearly 200 acres of land in Prineville, Ore., a land grab that could double the size of existing iCloud data center operations in the region.
