iPod car and wall chargers are very common at this point; now Belkin is selling a single package with simple versions of both. The Charging Kit for iPod ($35) includes a cigarette lighter power adapter, an USB-to-Dock Connector cable, and a wall power charger with fold-out blades. You can connect most iPods to the car or wall charger using the included cable, and use the iPod's headphone port for audio-out.
