One problem with having ever written about technology is that when you come to buy your own computer, you want the latest and the very greatest -- even if you really do not need it. However, the good side of the same issue is that when you do spend all that cash, you get a machine that lasts you a very, very long time. At least, it does if you buy a Mac.
