Microtek has begun shipping the ScanMaker s450, an inexpensive flatbed scanner designed for the home. It is particularly aimed at those with photo film libraries, since it has an adapter for 35mm negatives and slides, and software called ColoRescue that attempts to resaturate faded photos.
