Two new speakers have been announced today at CES by Altec Lansing, both featuring Bluetooth connectivity. The all-weather Boomjacket offers twice the battery life of Lifejacket, its predecessor, capable of playing audio for up to 40 hours on a single charge. Offering durability to resist the effects of rain, dirt, and shock, its dual 2-inch neodymium drivers, passive radiator design and aptX wireless audio aim to produce a powerful sound in a range of settings. Priced at $200, the Boomjacket will be accompanied by a carrying pouch, USB charging, 3.5mm aux-in and power supply cables.
