Apple has begun selling SIM-free versions of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus at its US online store. Unlocked iPhone 6 models have been available since September, but until now came with a T-Mobile SIM inserted. As with the T-Mobile option, a SIM-free iPhone 6 starts at $649 for 16GB, and an equivalent 6 Plus is $749. Costs scale up to $949 for a 128GB Plus.
