Gamebooks combine the enjoyment of reading a book with the interactivity of a text adventure. Similar to a "choose-your-own adventure" with quite a bit more control, gamebooks are becoming ever more popular. We recently checked out Necklace of Skulls, a Mayan action-adventure by Cubus Games, to see if it has earned its place in the genre.
