New data from ad network and analytics firm Chitika saw the iPad regaining nearly two full points of North American web traffic among tablets in September, finishing the month with 79.9 percent share. Even at its lower July reading of 78 percent, the iPad line still completely dominated its rivals, all of whom reported single-digit web presence. The next nearest rival was Amazon, with 6.7 percent share for its entire Kindle Fire line. Samsung followed in third place, with six percent.
