Apple announces that Apple Pay will roll out Monday, Oct. 20. WatchKit, a software development kit for the Apple Watch is due next month. iOS 8.1, due Monday, will address some customer complaints about things like the removal of Camera Roll. Yosemite (OS X 10.10) is due today as a free download at the Mac App Store, along with iWork updates for iOS and OS X. A new, 27-inch iMac Retina 5K starts at $2499. A new Mac Mini offers Thunderbolt ports but loses the quad-core option. The iPad Air 2 brings Touch ID, a gold color option, new cameras, a super-thin design and more at a starting price of $499. An iPad Mini 3, also with Touch ID, starts at $399. (Older iPads drop in price.)
