As well as allowing customers to order the new Mac Pro (though it won't ship until January), Apple has released an update to Final Cut Pro X. The Final Cut Pro 10.1 update is focussed on adding optimised features for the new Mac Pro to the video editing software - but there are new tools for those running it on MacBook Pros, iMacs and other Mac hardware. During WWDC in June, Apple promised to release a new version of Final Cut Pro alongside the new Mac Pro, so the update comes as no surprise.
