Why are Apple stores closing early next week?

Many of Apple's retail stores will be closing their doors early on between 17 and 19 November, and, while we'd like to believe it's in preparation for a mystery product launch, it looks like it's actually for rather dull meetings with Apple's retail employees. A number of Apple Stores in countries across the globe including Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan and Spain, will be closing several hours early between Sunday 17 November and Monday 18 November.
