EA today announced that Plants vs. Zombies 2 has been downloaded 16 million times worldwide since being released last Thursday. Plants vs. Zombies 2 is the followup to EA's popular Plants vs. Zombies title, which originally debuted on the App Store in 2010. Plants vs. Zombies 2 utilizes the same lane defense gameplay that made the original game a hit, but it also offers up some new plants, new gameplay mechanics, and time travel to settings like ancient Egypt.
