Xbox One coming to 13 markets at launch, not 21 as originally planned
Microsoft just issued a neat list of all the countries where the Xbox One will be available at launch. All told, the list includes 13 markets, with eight confirmed to follow sometime in 2014. If you can do simple math, you know that totals 21 markets, which is how many markets Microsoft initially said would be covered. Due to concerns about meeting demand, though, Microsoft is trimming that initial list to 13 countries, including: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand. That leaves eight countries off the launch list (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland) which now won't get the Xbox One until sometime in 2014.
