The fifth-generation 9.7-inch iPad is due to launch in September, but the details surrounding a second-gen iPad mini are still in the air, supply chain sources tell DigiTimes. The new 9.7-inch iPad is expected to adopt a slimmer bezel, and get other subtler improvements such as increased battery life, which may be due in part to switching from two LED backlighting tubes to one. Separate reports have also usually suggested that the tablet will switch to a faster processor.
