The US branch of Virgin Mobile will finally carry the iPhone 5 beginning June 28th, according to an announcement. As with any smartphone on Virgin the iPhone will be sold contract-free, in this case costing $550 for 16GB, $650 for 32GB, and $750 for 64GB. The main advantage of the carrier will be its monthly plans, which start at $35 per month and include unlimited texts plus 2.5GB of 3G/4G data. After the 2.5GB mark, speeds are throttled.
