Apple's new MacBook Airs have already been benchmarked, reports note. Geekbench 2 CPU performance recorded by Primate Labs shows that the new notebooks are only about 3 to 8 percent faster than their predecessors. Primate explains that Intel focused on reducing power consumption with its new Haswell processors, and that Apple went a step beyond, choosing processors with lower frequencies than before for the sake of vastly extending battery life.
