9to5Mac.com reported yesterday that Facebook is trying to 'declutter' the iOS contacts app by no longer syncing friends that have no useful contact information. Users have observed missing contacts as being a bug, however the move is an intentional endeavour to improve the relevancy of imported contacts. A Facebook spokesperson stated that friends with no contact information other than a Facebook e-mail will not be synced to the Contacts address book from now on. These contacts can be added manually as desired.
