Twitter has updated its official iOS app to v5.4, making a number of improvements. Two of these revolve around search -- the app will, for example, highlight more topic and user suggestions in response to queries or entering a username or hashtag. The update also gives more weight to top tweets in search results, regardless of their age; searching for "election," for example, might bring up posts from the 2012 US Presidential campaign.
