The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority has launched a free new website and iOS app that allows users to see time estimates for specific train stations. Available for roughly one third of New York's subway stations, the app and website get their dat from a new subway signalling system that was slowly installed between 1997 and 2008. Currently data is provided for 156 stations for lines 1,2,3; 4,5,6 and S 42 St. Shuttle, however additional stations will be added in the near future.
