Sprint has been scaling back its upgrade perks for more than a year, and another just met its end -- momentarily. The carrier has confirmed to us and Android Central that it's freezing its Upgrade Now program, which lets subscribers pay extra for a quicker hardware refresh than usual. While Sprint can't provide an explanation at present, or say how likely it is we'll see a revival, it does offer a glimmer of hope: the company asks that we "check back later" to see if Upgrade Now returns.
