This morning the BBC announced that its BBC iPlayer Radio app has passed one million downloads in just under two months. The milestone is welcome for the BBC as it tries to keep revenue within the corporation instead of seeing users jump to other media streaming apps like Pandora and Spotify.
In a statement Andrew Scott, Head of Radio and Music and Audience Facing Services, BBC Future Media, said: "With over one million downloads of the app and record-breaking audiences to BBC iPlayer Radio, we are thrilled that more and more listeners can take BBC Radio with them whenever and wherever they want."
