According to sources familiar with the matter, Google plans on launching its iOS Maps app late tonight. The new app reinstates Google Maps to the iOS, purged in the migration to iOS 6. The rumor is bolstered by reports earlier in November that Google was putting some finishing touches on the app prior to submission to the Apple iTunes App Store. Neither Apple nor Google have any comment on the matter.
