It appears that the iPhone 5 has received a "network access license" in China, meaning that one of the major roadblocks to selling the newest iPhone on the mainland has been removed.
According to a Wall Street Journal post from this morning, regulatory approval for iPhones supported by both China Telecom and China Unicom had been granted, meaning that the smartphones should go on sale within weeks.
