Third-party vendor OWC has launched new 16GB RAM upgrade kits for the Mac mini, iMac, and non-Retina MacBook Pro. A standard 8GBx2 kit costs $99, and in the case of 2010 and 2011 iMacs, can be used to add on to existing memory. The 2009 iMac has a special 4GBx4 option that costs $98 and can maximize the computer's memory capacity.
