Appleís iOS 6.1, which is currently in beta testingwith developers, will bring with it the ability for users to use the Siri voice-controlled personal assistant to purchase movie tickets, reports 9to5Mac. The functionality is powered by Fandango and is actioned through normally spoken English requests to be able purchase movie tickets at a certain theater and time. Spoken commands could include ìThree tickets to see Brave,î or ìTwo tickets to that new Pixar movie.î
