Apple continues to gain market share in the United States, but the company saw shipments of its PCs decline in the third quarter due to a slowdown in overall consumption. This according to Gartner, which published its analysis of the global and US PC markets for the third quarter of 2012. Gartner's report found declines among most of the major US PC suppliers, with only Lenovo shipping more units this quarter than it did in the same quarter last year.
