Apogee has formally revealed the Quartet, a new high-end audio interface aimed at Mac users. The unit has four standard inputs and eight outputs by default; the number of channels can also be increased by pairing with a Duet 2 or Ensemble, or fully exploiting the two optical inputs. The most conspicuous feature of the interface though is its nine touchpad controls, which are linked with the level displays. Three of the pads are custom-configurable.
