Several tablet makers grew worldwide tablet shipments year-over-year in the second quarter, even as Apple continued its dominance, according to new IDC numbers. As a whole the tablet market reached 25 million units, rising 66.2 percent over Q2 2011. Apple's 17.042 million iPads represented a growth of 84.3 percent, giving it a 68.2 percent marketshare, up from a previous 61.5 percent slice.
