A third set of sources, this time for AllThingsD, are supporting the notion of a mid-September Apple press event. The people say that an event is at least scheduled for the same week as iMore's rumored September 12th date. While the new sources aren't saying what products Apple might show off, AllThingsD points to the company's large increase in component prepayments is a sign the iPhone is involved.
