Trend Micro has published information on a new cybercrime tool that automates bank fraud. The new method, called the Automatic Transfer System is inserted into a user's system with either the SpyEye or ZeuS Windows-specific malware and automatically steals user information, doesn't use pop-ups, and covers up traces of illegal transfers as it steals. No US banks have been affected by the attack method yet, with German, English, and Italian banks have been the primary targets. TrendMicro reports that the tool is easily adaptable to US banking methods.
