Canon on Thursday made a number of announcements relating to high-end pro video, starting with the EOS-1D C and now the EOS C500 and C500 PL. Either of the C500 models is meant for cinematographers and shoots up to 4K resolution (4096x2160) video, though the former takes EF-mount lenses and the latter accommodates PL-mount glass.
