China has beaten the US for the first time in terms of new iOS and Android device activations, says mobile ad and analysis firm Flurry. February data collected by Flurry shows China barely topping the US. For March, though, Flurry is predicting that China will represent 24 percent of activations, versus the US' forecast 21 percent. Back in January 2011 the US accounted for 28 percent, easily dominating China's 8 percent.
