ComiXology has released a new version of its Comics iOS app, v3.1. The most important addition is support for ComiXology's new "CMX-HD" format, consisting of higher-resolution pages formatted with the third-generation iPad in mind. The company notes that any earlier downloads can be upgraded for free, and that prices for new comics will remain unchanged. It will, however, take several months for all planned upgrades to take effect.
