Verizon's wireless CTO David Small in conversation late Tuesday mapped out an aggressive LTE coverage expansion along with strong hints of an eventual LTE-capable iPhone. Small told the Wall Street Journal that coverage would climb from 200 areas so far to "at least" 400 by the end of 2012. The reach would let it cover 260 million people, or about 10 million more than it had targeted for the same interval.
